How to Utilise your Footstool

Hey Guys!
Happy New Year! I can’t believe 2021 is almost over, where has this year gone!! I know everyone says this every year..but seriously this one has gone sooo fast, hasn’t it!?
Anyways, I thought it would be a good idea to share with you some of my top tips on styling and utilising your Sparrow and Plumb footstool/pouffe! These tips can be used on all of our footstools, pouffe’s, dressing table stools or craft ottomans.

Our Footstools are a great investment because they can be used in so many different ways. They are also made with lots of care, so are here to last!

You can style your footstool with a singular wingback chair or place it to the side or front of your sofa. As our footstools are made to order, you can hand pick which luxurious fabric you would like on yours for a truly personal experience. We highly recommend ordering some of our swatches before purchasing to ensure you have selected the best fabric/colourway for your interior space.

I personally love styling my footstool with a round mirror tray, it adds an extra finish and luxurious feel to your space along with being super practical because this then allows you to rest other objects on top.

For example; your cup of tea, candles, books or even a lampshade. I have added some links to a few of my favourite homeware brands that sell some beautiful mirror trays and accessories;

Our Footstools are really sturdy too so they are fine to use as additional occasional seating!

Why not use your footstool as a side table! Now you have your eye on a new mirror tray….you know you can now place your footstool to the side of your sofa and use as a side table! I use my Harris Tweed footstool as a side table and currently have my table lampshade and a coaster ontop. It has allowed me to pick up colours and finishes from my interior space to tie everything together. I have linked our table lampshades below for you along with some of my favourite brands that sell coasters and living room accessories:

If storage is what you need, then I would suggest opting for a Craft ottoman. The Craft Ottoman is also very sturdy, fine to use as a side table but does also offer some storage! It is the smallest sized ottoman we sell and is also really popular for customers looking for dressing table stools.

If you are looking for a specific sized footstool to use as a side table, feel free to contact us and we can cost this up for you.
We spray all of our products with fabric protection before they leave the workshop. If you would like to order some fabric protection to reapply, please visit the link below:

I hope these tips are helpful and feel free to send us your photos on how you have styled your Sparrow & Plumb footstool!

Love,

Emily x
