Home Decor Trends - Animal Print Lovers Part One
Add a sense of adventure to your home by following the courageous Animal print trend. From zebra stripes, leopard spots and Dalmatian dots, this trend is a great way to play with prints, patterns and textures. Throughout this blog post, I will cover several animal prints that are super on trend and how best to incorporate these in to your own home.
Starting with Zebra Stripes!
Adding a zebra stripe into a room is one of my favourite go to patterns. If you’re new to introducing animal print into your home, then starting with a rug may be a good option. Laying down animal print on your floors is a great way to make a statement, however it’s not where your eye spends most of its time and you’ll also be laying plenty of furniture and accessories over the top.
If you’re a maximalist like me and love pattern and texture, then you’re probably a bit braver with your pattern chooses and therefore animal print furniture is right up your street. If you choose to have a zebra print footstool or coffee table, a good tip is to repeat black and white throughout your room. A statement piece of furniture is what we at Sparrow & Plumb live and breathe, I absolutely love colour and pattern, it makes me feel happy and fills my home with joy.
Nowadays Zebra print home decor is produced in multiple different colour ways, but if you’re just starting to add animal print into your home then the black and white version might be the best option for you. I find that it is much easier to match the rest of your interior with these colours and you are free to bring in brighter colours to compliment the zebra print.
